Charles Awad, a local designer, approached me about designing icons to help relaunch the Better Beer Society, a business focused on improving the standards of beer brewing and increasing the profile of breweries across Minnesota. These icons were to represent the 5 pillars of the society’s business: education, agency, branding, certification, and draft. Each icon was designed to incorporate the existing logo colors to help tie them to the BBS brand, as well as strengthen brand recognition. Combined with beer iconography, the icons show that while each the core tenets are all important, they operate under the same roof for the same time.

Charles put the icons to good use in his marketing collateral for BBS. I’ve included some images of the final brochures that he designed for a trade show.
