The Happy Ending

We love a good happy ending. It’s prevalence in all story-telling mediums is unquestionable and though it so often seems removed from our reality, we still crave it. Reconciliation, a loving embrace, a passionate kiss, or simply the start of a journey with hope on the horizon. As this work developed, it became a literal manifestation of its name; it nearly met its end in a parking lot puddle, but emerged better for it. A dock stretching out into an uncertain future, the perfect end, cracking at the edges.
